Prof. Irena Peeva, Cornell University, works in Commutative Algebra, with a primary research focus on Free Resolutions and their applications. 

The Distinguished and Coxeter Lecture Series bring a leading international mathematician in the field of the thematic program of the Institute to give a series of three lectures. The first of the lectures is intended for a general mathematical audience and the remaining lectures are intended to highlight some recent important developments in the field of the program.
